Rabbi Eliyahu Cohen
Rabbi Cohen is a talmid of his father, Rav Shaya Cohen, Shlit”a. He is also a close talmid of several of the Gedolei Hador of the previous and current generations. Rabbi Cohen maintained a close relationship with Rav Meir Soloveitchik zt”l and was a ben bayis by his great uncle Rav Elyashiv zt”l, his grandfather Rav Lazer Plachinsky zt”l and Rav Henoch Leibowitz, zt”l. He is a talmid muvhak of Rav Shia Grodzinsky, zt”l (one of R’ Boruch Ber Leibowitz’s foremost talmidim), with whom he learned daily bechavrusah for close to a decade, and Rav Shmuel Auerbach zt”l. Rabbi Cohen is an expert at training bochurim in advanced logic and his shiurim rigorously hone their analytical thinking. Additionally, the talmidim look forward to Rabbi Cohen’s insightful vaadim which focus on Torah Hashkafa and Tikun HaMiddos. Known for his deep grasp of mussar and beloved for his down to earth practicality and approachability, Rabbi Cohen has helped countless bochurim in their becoming real Lamdanim and genuine Bnei Torah.
Rabbi Meir Cohen
Rabbi Cohen learned by his father, Rav Shaya Cohen Shlit”a, and in Yeshiva Mir Brooklyn by Rav Shmuel Berenbaum, Zt”l. He was privileged to develop a uniquely close relationship with the Mirrer Rosh Yeshiva, and eventually married Rav Shmuel’s granddaughter. In Eretz Yisrael, he was a ben bayis by his grandfather, Rav Lazer Platchinsky Zt”l, and learned by Rav Shmuel Auerbach. He now also has a very close relationship in learning with Rav Refael Reichman (talmid of the Brisker Rav) and Rav Shmuel Deutch. Under his instruction, the talmidim are trained to meticulously delve into every sugya at its deepest levels. Due to Rabbi Cohen’s sterling middos and exceptional dedication to his talmidim, the bochurim feel very comfortable having discussions with him about all areas of life.
